The head of External Relations, Organizations and Social Movements of the Sindicato Labrego Galego (SLG), Isabel Vilalba, will join the Executive Commission of the Coordinadora de Organizaciones de Agricultores y Ganaderos (COAG).
In the XVI Assembly of COAG, which took place in Madrid this Thursday and Friday, the state leadership was renewed with a new Executive Commission that, for the first time in its 50-year history, will have parity representation: four men and four women.
From this body, the initiatives and positions that the organization conveys to public administrations, both at the state and European Union level, are defined daily, thus shaping the political and advocacy strategy of the agricultural sector.
"The farmers and ranchers of Galicia must be in those spaces that are useful for being heard and where our future is decided, and even more so when our councilor systematically turns her back on our sector," states Vilalba, who directs her criticism at the councilor of Rural Affairs, María Jesús Gómez.
"The Coordinator allows us to amplify our voice and form strategic alliances that allow us to move forward," she values.
