Freshuelva has added to the current strawberry planting campaign 304 workers from Morocco and Guatemala, hired at origin to meet the labor demand of the associated companies.

As the organization explained in an informative note, this contingent is made up of 275 Moroccan female workers and 29 male and female workers from Guatemala. In all cases, these are people who have already participated in previous campaigns, so they have prior experience in the Huelva farms and know both the characteristics of the crops and the work dynamics on the farms.

The arrival of this group has been processed through the origin hiring system (Gecco), managed by Freshuelva, and will serve to reinforce the staff of the associated companies during the planting tasks, which are currently being carried out in the strawberry farms of the province.

Once this planting stage is completed, the workers will continue in the farms to integrate into the harvesting campaign starting in January, thus ensuring the continuity of their activity in the months of highest workload.

Freshuelva has emphasized that in this way it maintains its role of coordinating hiring at origin, with the aim of responding to the personnel needs of its associated companies and facilitating the labor planning of the red fruit campaign.
