The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development has decided to increase by 1.5 million euros the budget for the call for aid aimed at investments in the marketing and processing of fishery and aquaculture products, so that the total amount now amounts to 6.54 million euros. This increase in funds is recorded in today's edition of the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA).

In detail, the economic reinforcement is directed at the line of subsidies for private individuals and entities aimed at supporting investment projects in the marketing and processing of fishery and aquaculture products. The allocation assigned to the 2027 annuity thus increases from the initial three million to 4.5 million euros, as explained by the Junta in an informative note.

After this increase, the distribution of resources for the call is established at two million euros for 2026 and 4.5 million for 2027 for the investment line. To these amounts, 40,000 euros are added, reserved for promotional campaigns for fishery and aquaculture products developed by non-profit entities, configuring a global budget that reaches 6.54 million euros.

These aids, convened under the framework of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) 2021-2027, aim to promote the modernization of the Andalusian fishing and aquaculture industry. To this end, they support investments aimed at optimizing the marketing of products, increasing their added value, and strengthening the competitiveness of the sector as a whole.

The increase in credit has been possible thanks to the existing budgetary availability and responds to the provision included in the call published in November 2025, which already contemplated the option of increasing financing without the need to open a new application period, provided that sufficient funds were available before the award resolution was issued.
