The spokesperson of Compromís in Les Corts, Joan Baldoví, has considered it "perfect" that the commission on the dana in Congress summons again the 'former president' of the Generalitat Carlos Mazón, whom he has described as "miserable" for trying to "shift all the responsibilities" onto the former councilor Salomé Pradas "to exculpate himself" from the management of the flood on October 29, 2024, in which 232 people died.
In statements to the media this Monday, Baldoví was asked about the possibility that the commission on the dana in Congress calls Mazón again, after his defense submitted a document last week to the judge of Catarroja in which it requests clarification on whether there is any open line of investigation or pending opening regarding a possible criminal responsibility for his actions "with sufficient expression of its factual content," in order to know and propose the exculpatory evidence he deems appropriate and, in case there is "no other fact, action, indication or line of investigation," that this be expressly stated.
"I think it's perfect," Baldoví replied when asked about Mazón possibly being called to appear in Congress again. "If he is able to present a document to the judge justifying that sending the alarm sooner or later had nothing to do with it, let him justify it," he added.
According to Baldoví, the attitude of the 'former president' of the Generalitat is "the same as always: the miserable position of someone who wants to shift all the responsibilities to the councilor --Salomé Pradas-- precisely to exculpate himself."
"Therefore, that the most nefarious person we have suffered as Valencians in recent years has to go to Congress to explain precisely everything he defends before the judge, seems perfect to me," the spokesperson of Compromís concluded.
