The legal representation of Jonathan Andic states that the messages cited by the Prosecutor's Office to support the supposed bad relationship between father and son are "metaphorical" and are part of a therapeutic process, recalling that 'killing the father' in Freud constitutes a classic paradigm of psychoanalytic therapy.
"The judicial case contains numerous phrases and expressions that are part of a therapy process in which more family members participated," explains the defense in a statement released this Saturday, in which it insists that the questioned expressions are interpreted incorrectly if taken out of that context.
In the same note, the defense emphasizes that the conclusions of the investigation phase already state that, during said sessions, "metaphorical" references were made to the father's death as a necessary turning point to leave behind certain life stages.
The statement is made public after the Prosecutor's Office presented its opposition brief this Friday to the appeal filed by Andic's lawyers, in which they requested the annulment of the order that set the precautionary measures imposed after his arrest as a suspect in the death of his father, Isak Andic.
The Public Prosecutor's Office maintains the same position as the investigating judge: retaining the withdrawal of the passport, the prohibition of leaving the national territory, and the obligation to appear weekly in court, in addition to rejecting the return of the one million euros deposited as bail to obtain provisional liberty.
