The magistrate who this Thursday occupied seat No. 7 of the Investigating Section of the Court of First Instance of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has decreed provisional, communicated, and no-bail imprisonment for six of those arrested this week, including an agent of the Local Police of the capital of Gran Canaria, for their alleged involvement in a criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking with activity in the Canary Islands archipelago.
As detailed by the communication office of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC), the judge responsible for the investigation made this decision after taking statements this Thursday from the seven people arrested, agreeing only to provisional release with precautionary measures (appearance apud acta twice a month) for one of those involved.
Circumstantially, the investigating judge charges the investigated parties with alleged crimes of drug trafficking, belonging to a criminal group, and illicit possession of weapons. Likewise, the lifting of the secrecy of the proceedings has been agreed so that the parties involved can access the investigations.
