The State Meteorological Agency, AEMET, maintains this Sunday August 9 the focus on high temperatures and on the evolution of instability during the afternoon in some areas of the Peninsula.

One of the highlights of the day is in the Valencian Community, where AEMET has activated a yellow warning for high temperatures in the northern and southern interior of Valencia and in the southern coast of Alicante.

These tropical or torrid nights hinder the body's recovery after a day of heat. Therefore, although the maximums are the most visible data, nighttime temperatures are also important to assess the real impact of the episode.

The warnings from AEMET are published by areas and risk levels. The yellow warning indicates low danger, but enough for certain groups or activities to be affected. The orange raises the risk to significant, and the red is reserved for extraordinary danger situations.
