The European Life Science Research Association (ELSRA), a life sciences organization registered in London, announced today that it has obtained a dual qualification in the procurement mechanisms and execution partner of the United Nations.
ELSRA is registered as an eligible supplier through the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) and as a potential execution partner through the United Nations Partner Portal (UNPP), creating new opportunities for scientific cooperation, public health, and humanitarian programs.
The mission of the Association is to promote responsible research in life sciences and translate reliable evidence into practical improvements for human health. Its activities encompass biomedical research, epidemiology, laboratory sciences, disease surveillance, training, and health cooperation. ELSRA collaborates with more than 200 institutions and organizations, including research centers, laboratories, universities, health specialists, and technical partners.
ELSRA emphasized that scientific credibility depends on rigorous methodology, transparency, and accountability. It prioritizes clearly defined protocols, validated analytical methods, reproducible results, independent review, research ethics, biosafety, data integrity, and responsible management of scientific resources.
Participation in mechanisms related to the United Nations represents both an opportunity and a responsibility. UNGM provides access to a transparent procurement environment, where organizations are evaluated based on their technical capacity, quality systems, delivery capability, ethical standards, and institutional reliability. UNPP offers a framework for cooperation with United Nations entities and partners in humanitarian and development programs.
ELSRA identified research on viruses in Africa as a long-term priority. Future initiatives may focus on laboratory capacity, genomic and epidemiological surveillance, zoonotic diseases, respiratory and vector-borne viruses, biosafety, and responsible data sharing. Efforts should support local scientific leadership and respond to regional public health needs.
The prevention and control of diseases will continue to be a central axis of the international agenda of ELSRA. The Association plans to support evidence-based approaches for early warning, outbreak investigation, infection prevention, diagnostic preparedness, risk communication, and development of scientific personnel.
ELSRA also intends to explore humanitarian health partnerships that support emergency preparedness, laboratory continuity, community health, and recovery after outbreaks or other health challenges. All initiatives will emphasize transparency, accountability, local cooperation, and measurable outcomes.
The Association declared that international recognition must be built through performance, responsible governance, and sustained contribution. Through its future work, it seeks to strengthen global cooperation in life sciences and transform scientific knowledge into practical health solutions.
