The chairman and CEO of Acciona, José Manuel Entrecanales Domecq, has reiterated that "there is no decision taken" regarding the possible divestment in its subsidiary Acciona Energía.
In a press conference after the general shareholders' meeting held this Thursday in Madrid, the executive stressed that the operation is in a "very early stage".
"There is no decision taken at all, as the process is still in a very early stage," he stated, adding that they have received "expressions of interest from a large number of international and national investors."
In this regard, he explained that potential interested parties are being provided with "public information." "It is still in a very incipient stage and there is absolutely no decision on the matter," he insisted.
Regarding the alternatives being analyzed for the operation, which range from making no changes to selling a minority stake, divesting a majority position, or even a possible merger of Acciona with its subsidiary, Entrecanales pointed out that a sale of 100% of Acciona Energía's capital is "extremely unlikely" to materialize.
On the other hand, when asked about the group's asset rotation policy, the businessman stressed that they "continue with their same strategies."
