The high-speed train services connecting with Madrid, both on departures and arrivals, have suffered significant delays this Wednesday morning due to a problem in the signaling systems, as Adif has communicated through its profile on "X".
Numerous users began to report delays reaching “an hour or more” in their scheduled departure or arrival times to the capital on high-speed trains.
Furthermore, other passengers point out that their train remains stopped at a station for “more than 50 minutes”, waiting to be able to resume the journey.
Adif reported that the traffic control and management systems were recovering "progressively", something that, subsequently, they declared finished at 9:50 AM. "Rail traffic to and from Puerta de Atocha is being reestablished, although trains are experiencing delays for this reason," it pointed out
For its part, Renfe stated on its X account that, as a consequence of the incident in Adif's signaling systems, the trains departing from the Atocha and Chamartín stations "remain stopped and are registering significant delays."
