CCOO and UGT of Catalonia have decided to cancel the strike days called for the Rodalies service on May 27 and June 5, after the meeting held with the company's management concluded with an agreement on various improvements in the provision of the service, as indicated this Friday by both trade union organizations.

Among the agreed points is the activation of a functional mobility process aimed at filling positions linked to intervention, a measure that, according to the unions, will allow "progress in covering existing operational needs" and will result in an improvement of the service.

Union representatives add that the company has committed to forwarding "to the competent area" the need to study a reinforcement of security, both for the staff and for the users of the railway service.

The company has indicated that the understanding reached and the withdrawal of the strike calls constitute positive news for the regular users of Rodalies, who will see the normality of the service guaranteed on the scheduled dates.

For their part, CCOO and UGT have made a favorable assessment of the agreement reached with management and have reiterated their commitment to "continue working to guarantee adequate working conditions and a quality public service" on the Rodalies network.
