Adif communicated this Thursday that the circulation of the Madrid-Seville high-speed line was interrupted for approximately half an hour at the height of the province of Toledo, due to overheating in a wheelset of a train from the Ouigo company that covered the route between the capital and Seville. As a consequence of this incident, five trains have been affected, accumulating an average delay of about 20 minutes.
The incident took place at 09:38, when a Ouigo Madrid-Seville service was forced to stop on track I between the municipalities of Mora and Orgaz and Urda (Toledo) "due to a very hot axle alarm", as Adif informed Europa Press.
Subsequently, at 09:42 hours, it has been proceeded to cut traffic on the adjacent track "for recognition of the composition". According to the data provided by the railway infrastructure manager, around 10:14 hours, high-speed traffic has been reestablished on this section. The incident has involved the cutting of something more than 30 kilometers of track.
