The financial advisory association EFPA España has held its ordinary general assembly after having recertified 98% of its associates in the last year in the credentials required by MiFID II, in addition to the LCCI (Real Estate Credit Contracts Law) certification and the ESG Advisor accreditation.

Currently, the entity has 36,634 certified professionals, after incorporating 535 new members throughout 2025 and adding another 165 additional new members during the first months of 2026.

The association currently maintains collaboration agreements with 56 asset managers and 23 financial entities, has 16 accredited training centers, and a network of 16 territorial delegations that practically cover the entire Spanish map.

EFPA España has thoroughly reviewed its certification programs and continuous training initiatives aimed at its members, integrating new content on financial and wealth planning, the effect of geopolitical changes, risk management in a constantly transforming economic and regulatory scenario, as well as the impact of new technologies and artificial intelligence on financial advice.

With these updates, the organization aims to provide advisors with resources that allow them to move from a model focused on mere intermediation to a global advisory service, capable of accompanying the client in increasingly sophisticated decisions throughout all stages of their life.

In the field of financial education, the activities promoted by EFPA España gathered 5,736 participants during the last fiscal year, more than double than in 2024, consolidating the entity as one of the main benchmarks in the dissemination and improvement of financial culture in the country.

Through its EFPA Financial Education Program, running for over ten years thanks to the collaboration of hundreds of certified volunteer associates, the organization brings key concepts on savings, investment, and financial planning to different professional groups, universities, and the general public.

"The high levels of recertification demonstrate the commitment of our associates to professional excellence and to offering the best possible service to clients. Continuous training and technical rigor are essential elements to reinforce trust in financial advice," highlighted the president of EFPA España, Santiago Satrústegui.
