The Spanish Association of Financial Advisors and Planners (EFPA) has updated the composition of its statutory committee with the entry of new professionals into its main governing bodies.

Thus, Ángela María Callejón becomes part of the deontological committee in place of Francisco J. Lara, while Patricia Carreras and Ignacio García-Nieto join the internal audit committee, replacing Víctor Malet and Jordi Sullà.

Ángela María Callejón holds a doctorate in Economic and Business Sciences and works as an associate professor of Finance and Accounting at the University of Málaga. She is also vice-president of the Unicaja Banking Foundation and a member of its Audit Committee, a director of Fundalogy, president of the Econospérides Institute and the International Forum Woman and Society Málaga, as well as treasurer of the EBEN-Spain Association for Business Ethics.

Regarding Patricia Carreras' career, she was in charge of the structuring and management of multi-asset portfolios at Haugron Holdings Family Office and is the founder of Rocksolid Family Office, from where she has driven investment strategy in private and listed markets.

On the other hand, Ignacio García-Nieto is a partner and CEO of Grupo Financiero Riva y García, as well as vice-president of the board and member of the audit committee of Ges Seguros y Reaseguros. He is a lawyer-economist from the University of Deusto and holds an MBA from IESE, and he is also part of the boards of various business and cultural entities.

"The renewal of our statutory committee allows us to incorporate profiles with great experience and recognized prestige, who will bring new perspectives to continue promoting professionalization, ethics, and good governance within the financial advisory industry," stated the president of EFPA Spain, Santiago Satrústegui.
