illycaffè has achieved in the first half historical revenues of 373 million euros, which represents an increase of 19% at constant exchange rates, driven by the higher sales volume in all its key markets, with particular dynamism in Italy and the United States.
In particular, the coffee company has highlighted that, despite the persistent inflationary pressure linked to the rising cost of green coffee (around 20% above the previous year), the gross operating profit (Ebitda) stood at 53 million euros, 10% more than in the same period of 2025, supported by organic growth, as detailed by the company.
During these first six months, the group has signed a strategic agreement with Westrock Beverage Company LLC in the United States for the development and packaging of a selection of products aimed at the North American market, while continuing with the expansion of its main production plant in Trieste (Italy), which has culminated in the commissioning of the new roasting facility.
The CEO of illycaffè, Cristina Scocchia, has expressed her satisfaction with the business evolution during this period. "We have closed an extraordinary first half, with double-digit growth in both revenues and Ebitda. This result reflects the quality of our strategic decisions and the value of our team, and demonstrates the group's ability to continue growing even in a particularly complex market environment," she emphasized.
"This semester has also marked a fundamental milestone in our plan to double the production capacity of Trieste with the commissioning of the new roasting plant that, along with the multi-year strategic agreement with Westrock in the United States, will allow us to support the growth we anticipate for the coming years," she advanced.
Thus, the main markets in which illycaffè operates recorded advances compared to 2025. In Italy, the group consolidated its position in the 'premium' segment, with a 19% increase in revenues compared to the previous year, while in the United States, its second most relevant market, sales surged by 19% at constant exchange rates and in Europe, a 21% increase over 2025 was recorded.
On the other hand, the large marketing channels also experienced double-digit growth. The physical channel, Horeca, and large distribution advanced thanks to the expansion of the distribution network and greater market penetration, while the 'online' channel recorded a strong boost supported by the consolidated alliances with the main e-commerce operators and the loyalty of its customers.
