Starting next April 8 (and until June 30, 2026) the 2026 Income Tax return (corresponding to your economic income for 2025) can be submitted online. But what you can already do is find out if this IRPF declaration will result in payment or refund. To do this, you just have to follow four very simple steps in the 2025 Income Tax simulator.
This simulator is located in ‘Renta WEB Open’. It does not require taxpayer identification, it does not validate the taxpayer's NIF and does not need to have tax data; based on the data you enter, you will be able to simulate your Personal Income Tax return.
This is how, step by step, you can use this Income Tax return simulator to know if, vulgarly speaking, you will have to pay or receive.
Step 1
You can start a declaration from scratch by pressing the button ‘New declaration’ or import data from a previously saved and created declaration with the same application (.ses file) from the button ‘Load’.
Step 2
Select the language and enter the complete identification data, although no validation will be carried out against the census of the Tax Agency. If you have started a new declaration, you must include all data, personal and economic, to simulate the result.
Step 3
Once the identification data screen is accepted, you directly access the results summary. To begin with the simulation of your declaration, you can access the different sections of the declaration from ‘Declaration Sections’ or click on the numerical links next to each concept. Remember that data is entered from the individual modalities and the joint declaration is automatically recalculated with the data entered in each declarant's declarations.
In the statement, you will have a breakdown of links that lead to its different sections. If you click ‘Show options’, the button panel expands with more actions, including the arrow command to navigate between the pages of the statement.
- From ‘Search box’ you can locate sections of the declaration by box number or concepts.
- On the button ‘Notes’ you can note down some concept of your interest.
- The button ‘Validate’ analyzes the completion that has been carried out and detects possible warnings and errors.
- If you want to retrieve the completed declaration at another time, press the button ‘Save’ to obtain the .ses file, which you can retrieve from the initial window by pressing the option ‘Load’.
You can choose the location where the file will be downloaded which, by default, is stored in the folder that the browser has as default. The file will be named dat-100-NIF of the declarant-date.ses.
Step 4
To check the result of this Income Tax 2025 simulator you can access the last page, ‘Payment or Refund Document’, or the ‘Summary of Returns’ where the most favorable option will be informed according to the result. Renta WEB Open allows the generation of a PDF with the ‘Preview’ of the return, although this document is not valid for submission.
