Invesco has expanded its active exchange-traded fund offering with the launch of the "Invesco EUR IG Corporate Bond Active UCITS ETF" and the "Invesco EUR IG Corporate Bond Short Duration Active UCITS ETF", two vehicles that provide access to investment-grade corporate bond markets.
Both ETFs will be managed by Invesco's European fixed income team, based in the United Kingdom (IFI Europe). Although they share a similar investment approach, the second fund limits its universe to issues with a shorter maturity period.
As detailed by the asset manager, IFI Europe's portfolio managers will construct the portfolios of these new ETFs by combining macroeconomic environment analysis, fundamental credit research, detailed study of each issue, and strict risk control discipline.
Following these additions, the firm now has a total of 49 euro-denominated UCITS fixed income ETFs, covering different asset classes within this segment.
"The active ETF market in Europe has grown rapidly in recent years, and we expect this trend to accelerate as investors seek more opportunities to add alpha to their portfolios," said Invesco's Head of Product in EMEA, Gary Buxton.
