The cryptocurrency platform Kraken has enabled the possibility of participating in SpaceX's stock market debut for Spanish investors through IPO Access, the new service launched by Payward Services, Kraken's parent company.
Through this proposal, eligible Kraken clients in more than 110 countries, including Spain and the European Economic Area, will be able to register a non-binding expression of interest to take part in SpaceX's stock market debut process, which will be the first operation included in the IPO Access program.
Thanks to the xStocks tokenized stock framework designed by Payward, Kraken users will have the option to trade SPCXx, a token backed 1:1 that represents SpaceX shares and which can be traded 24 hours a day, seven days a week, both on the Kraken platform and within the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.
Kraken and the other entities that are part of the xStocks alliance will be the only platforms that will allow uninterrupted trading, also during the first weekend after the stock market debut of Elon Musk's company.
SpaceX has set a price of $135 for the more than 555 million shares that the company will put up for sale in its imminent market debut, which will become the largest IPO of all time and will give the aerospace firm founded by Elon Musk a valuation of $1.77 trillion ($1.53 trillion euros).
