Mexico's transactional market registered a total of 106 announced and completed deals by May 2026, for a combined value of 9,004 million dollars (7,787 million euros), according to the monthly report prepared by TTR Data.
In year-on-year comparison, the volume of operations decreased by 3%, while the mobilized capital increased by 87%. In May alone, 13 transactions were carried out, reaching 210 million dollars (181.6 million euros).
By typology, 48 mergers and acquisitions (M&A) operations were identified, totaling 2,878 million dollars (2,489 million euros). Following these were 27 asset sales, for a total of 1,869 million dollars (1,616 million euros), and 24 venture capital transactions, which moved 918 million dollars (793.9 million euros). Private equity-related operations amounted to 3,379 million dollars (2,922 million euros).
In the sectoral breakdown, real estate stood out as the most dynamic segment of the month, with 20 registered operations and an 186% increase in the volume of committed capital.
TTR Data has designated as "transaction of the month" the closing of the Public Tender Offer (OPA) launched by Fibra Mty, a real estate asset manager based in Monterrey (Mexico), on FIBRA Macquarie, through which it has come to control 80% of the company for approximately 1,700 million dollars (1,470 million euros).
