The artificial intelligence (AI) platform Optiak has announced the closing of a first "pre-seed" round worth 4 million euros, in a deal led by Market One Capital, Next Tier Ventures, EA Ventures Plug and Play EMEA Fund and Mission, as detailed by the company itself in a statement.

This capital injection also includes the participation of investors linked to major technology groups such as SpaceX, Stripe, Crowdstrike, Amazon, or Epic Games, among others, placing the operation among the largest early-stage rounds registered in Spain in 2026 in the field of AI applied to the business environment.

The startup Optiak, driven by Spanish founders and with a vocation to operate mainly in the European Union, has created a modular operating system that allows large corporations to incorporate AI into the heart of their business processes in a "simple, intelligent, and secure" way.

Through this platform, companies can manage from a single point both third-party applications and internal solutions based on language models ("LLMs"), facilitating their adaptation to the rapid evolution of the AI ecosystem in a "secure and controlled" manner.

The challenge of integrating and governing AI in companies

The launch of Optiak, as explained by the company, comes in a context of "maximum pressure for management committees, forced to deploy AI on a large scale without losing operational control or compromising security."

Among Optiak's differentiating elements is its ability to assimilate all relevant organizational context even before interacting with an AI model. Thanks to this, the platform can adjust each interaction to the specific needs of the company, from ensuring compliance with data protection policies and regulations to selecting the most suitable model in terms of performance or cost.

The results obtained to date indicate a notable generation of cost synergies, while ensuring that the output of AI systems is secure and remains under control.

A team specialized in large-scale AI

Leading this project is a team of artificial intelligence specialists with experience in leading companies such as Amazon, Google, and DeepMind.

The firm is led by CEOs Daniel Arenas and Ignacio Gamoneda, along with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Borja Balle, all of whom have a consolidated track record in the design and deployment of large-scale AI products and systems in highly demanding technological environments.

Coinciding with the closing of the funding round, the company has launched its "design partner program," a collaboration program for the joint development of solutions, aimed at a limited group of advanced companies seeking a strategic ally with whom to co-design and validate large-scale AI use cases, with the direct support of the founding team.
