The province of A Coruña faces this Tuesday its fourth day of strike in the metal sector, in a scenario marked by the absence of progress between employers and unions in the negotiation of the collective agreement. The conflict keeps one of Galicia's main industrial poles in tension, with a special impact on Navantia shipyards.

From early morning, an informational picket has been stationed at the entrances of the Navantia plants in Ferrol and Fene, blocking the entry of both auxiliary industry personnel and the main company's staff. According to union sources, the follow-up of the strike in these centers is total and productive activity remains paralyzed.

At noon, the continuation of the protests with a demonstration is planned. The march will start at 12:00 PM from the A Gándara industrial estate, near the football fields. The route will run along the Carretera de Castilla and the Esteiro neighborhood, concluding at the gates of Navantia Ferrol, where a final rally will be held.

Union organizations have criticized the "intransigence" of employers at the negotiation table for the new agreement, while companies insist on maintaining their proposal, already rejected by the staff representatives. The strike held its first day last May.

The protest affects thousands of metal workers throughout the province, with a particular impact in the Ferrolterra region, and could be prolonged if a rapprochement of positions between the parties does not occur in the coming days.
