PLD Space has reinforced its Series C funding round, launched in March 2026, by incorporating a new injection of 108 million euros, again led by the Japanese conglomerate Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, as the space company communicated this Tuesday.

With this expansion, the total volume of Series C rises to 288 million euros and the total funding raised by the company now reaches 488 million euros.

The firm has detailed that these additional resources will be allocated to accelerate the industrialization of the reusable orbital launcher Miura 5, increase manufacturing and testing capacity, develop launch infrastructures, and advance towards the start of commercial operations.

Again, the expansion of Series C has been led by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, which has co-invested alongside the Spanish public fund management entity Cofides, with the participation of new financial partners.

Among the new investors are Endeavor Catalyst, the global venture capital fund of Endeavor, and Spain Oman Private Equity Fund (SOPEF), a vehicle managed by MCH Private Equity. Banco Santander has acted as financial advisor and Deloitte has provided legal advice to PLD Space.

Ezequiel Sánchez, CEO of the company, has stated that "this new milestone, which continues the Series C round initiated at the beginning of the year, strengthens our ability to execute PLD Space's transition to a global provider of commercial launch services, while maintaining a rigorous operational and financial discipline."

Sánchez added that the support from "top-tier" industrial, public, and financial investors reaffirms the "strength" of PLD Space's growth plan and accelerates its capacity to commercialize Miura 5, increase its production capacity, and ensure "sustainable and financially viable long-term commercial operations."
