Plus Ultra has closed an agreement with Air Zimbabwe to take over the connection between Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, and London (United Kingdom) through an ACMI lease agreement, with an expected duration of 13 months starting next July 1, as reported by the company.
The contract, brokered by Chapman Freeborn Aviation Services, one of Europe's most relevant air brokers, foresees several weekly frequencies on this route, whose flight time is around ten and a half hours.
In the ACMI format, the Spanish airline provides the aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance coverage, always operating under the contracting company's code. For this link, Plus Ultra will use its wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft.
This is the third long-term ACMI agreement the firm has signed in the last twelve months, following those signed with Air Algerie and Tunisair, in addition to the multiple shorter-term contracts it renews each year. The division specialized in this type of service has been active since 2015.
