Wonderful, the Israeli platform specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) agents, has begun its activity in Spain with the launch of its first headquarters in the country and the appointment of Gonzalo Torres as the head for the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
Torres, who has led Shopify in Spain for the last four years, maintains a close relationship with the national technological ecosystem, as detailed by the company in a statement.
The platform's objective is to facilitate the adoption of artificial intelligence solutions in Spain and Portugal in areas such as banking, energy, telecommunications, retail, and tourism, sectors characterized by complex processes, a high regulatory framework, and growing pressure to improve operational efficiency.
The company, led by Bar Winkler, completed a Series B funding round of $150 million (130 million euros) last March. In just eight months since its launch, Wonderful has managed to extend its presence to more than 30 countries.
"Spanish and Portuguese companies have already experimented with artificial intelligence and know its potential. Turning that ambition into production deployments requires the combination of an exceptional platform and a deep local presence that understands the complex reality of these organizations," said Wonderful's co-founder and CEO, Bar Winkler.
