The technology firm Vass has announced the incorporation of Paco Bermúdez as the new global chief executive officer (CEO), as communicated this Wednesday by the company itself.
With this appointment, the company seeks to strengthen its management structure to move towards a business model that is "more agile and competitive," while preserving the elements that have sustained its market position, "such as technological solidity, service excellence, a culture based on talent, and commitment to innovation and quality."
Bermúdez has over three decades of experience in the technology sector, largely developed at Capgemini, where he held positions of high responsibility, including CEO in Spain, COO for Southern and Central Europe, and global head of delivery centers.
This professional career places him among the most relevant executives in the technology sector, both in the Spanish market and internationally.
"Vass is a company with history, with international recognition, and with real strengths to build upon: deep technological knowledge, talent, and differential specialization. My goal is to consolidate all of this to continue providing excellent service to our clients," indicated Bermúdez.
With this change at the top, Vass aims to strengthen its role as a key player in the field of intelligent digital transformation, reinforcing its value proposition for clients and 'partners'.
Restructuring process and ERE in Spain
In parallel, the technology consultancy is preparing an Employment Regulation File (ERE) in Spain, as confirmed to Europa Press by sources from the company itself, which for the moment have not detailed the specific scope of this collective dismissal.
At the beginning of June, the company informed its workforce, made up of more than 2,300 professionals, of the start of a restructuring process that could affect up to 13% of the workers in the country, where the corporate headquarters is located.
With the implementation of this ERE, the consultancy aims to adapt its organization to the new market demands, technological evolution, and the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI), without this entailing changes in any of its business lines, which will continue to operate normally. Thus, ongoing projects and commercial activity will continue to develop without alterations.
