Senior officials of the Junta de Extremadura begin their appearances this Wednesday, June 10, in the Assembly to explain in detail the General Budget Law Project of the Autonomous Community (PGEx) for 2026 before the Finance and Budget Committee.
After overcoming this Tuesday, the 9th, the debate on the amendments to the entirety registered by the Socialist and Unidas por Extremadura parliamentary groups, the appearances will begin on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. with sections 10, 20, and 21, which correspond to the Ministry of Finance, Public Administration and Social Dialogue, Public Debt, and Contingency Fund.
Next, at 11:00 a.m., sections 02 and 22 will be examined, relating to the Presidency and Vice Presidency and the Ministry of the Presidency, Coordination of Government Action, Interior and Emergencies, respectively. Later, at 1:00 p.m., it will be the turn of Section 24, linked to the Vice Presidency and Ministry of Deregulation, Social Services and Family.
In the afternoon session, at 4:30 p.m., the accounts of Section 11, corresponding to the Ministry of Health and Dependency Care, will be presented, and at 6:00 p.m., Section 12, of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Natural Environment, will be addressed.
The presentation of the remaining sections of the PGEx before the Finance Committee will continue on Thursday, the 11th, according to the calendar set by the Extremaduran parliament. Subsequently, on Friday, the 12th, the period for registering partial amendments will open, which can be submitted until June 26.
Afterwards, on July 13, the Bureau of the Finance and Budget Committee will meet to qualify and admit for processing the partial amendments. On July 21, the committee's Subcommittee will prepare the report on the bill, the opinion of which will be finalized between July 23 and 24.
On those dates, it will be determined which partial amendments remain "alive" for their defense before the plenary session scheduled for July 29 and 30 in the Assembly, in which the opinion of the PGEx will be debated and submitted for final vote, which is expected to pass with the support of PP and Vox.
