The 'influencer' Zulema Romero has formalized her resignation as a PP deputy in the Assembly of Extremadura, considering it complicated to continue combining parliamentary activity with her professional projects, as a spokesperson for the 'popular' party told Europa Press.
Romero occupied the number 2 position on the PP's candidacy for Badajoz in the regional elections held on December 21, 2025, behind the vice-president and Minister of the Presidency Abel Bautista.
Originally from Herrera del Duque, Romero had been alternating her work in the regional Chamber with her role as an 'influencer' (she has around 75,000 followers between Instagram and Tik Tok) and with her business initiative for organizing weddings and events, La Romerina.
The seat left vacant by Romero will be taken by the next candidate on the list for Badajoz, Manuel Lozano, current spokesperson for the PP in the Villanueva de la Serena City Council.
