The vice-president of the General Council of Official Colleges of Pharmacists, Marta Galipienzo, has underlined that the future withdrawal of the seal coupon, which will be replaced by a digital system, "must always contribute to facilitating the work of the pharmacist and reducing the already high bureaucratic burden they assume".
"Only in this way will they be able to dedicate more time to attending to citizens and responding to their growing needs regarding health and medicines," pointed out Galipienzo, who recalled that the regulatory modification approved this Tuesday by the Council of Ministers "responds to the request" of the General Council of Pharmaceutical Colleges.
The representative of the collegiate organization has emphasized that, in order to dispense with the seal coupon, the General Council of Pharmacists had already warned that "beforehand" it was essential to address the necessary legal and technical reforms. Likewise, she has valued the joint work with the Ministry of Health to ensure coordination between autonomous communities in the implementation of the digital model, within an environment "as sensitive" as pharmaceutical care.
Finally, Marta Galipienzo has assured that pharmacies and pharmaceutical professionals will actively participate in the implementation of this new system, just as they have done with other digital tools at the service of the National Health System (SNS), once its real scope and its effects on pharmaceutical care are clearly determined.
