The Más Sénior Foundation has launched "MiiA", a free conversational artificial intelligence tool specifically aimed at people over 55 years of age, with the purpose of reducing the digital divide and offering companionship, guidance, and personalized information, as it communicated this Friday in a statement.
The service provides help 24 hours a day, every day of the week; it is capable of maintaining natural dialogues to alleviate the feeling of loneliness; it clarifies doubts with rigor; it attends to queries on key topics for the senior collective, such as pensions, health, travel, leisure, and technology; and it works without the need to download applications or carry out complicated registration processes.
The general director of the Más Sénior Foundation, Sonia Catalán, has emphasized that innovation can also be inclusive, accessible, and close, and that, in this case, it is not just about AI "but about social intelligence at the service of those who most need to feel accompanied, heard, and connected".
"We want older people to feel that AI is also designed for them," she added, emphasizing that the goal is for any senior to be able to take advantage of this technology regardless of their digital skills.
