The Parliament has called on the Government to continue defending before the central Executive the need for legal certainty and regulatory stability as an "essential" condition for the energy development of the Balearic Islands.

Likewise, the regional Chamber asks it to maintain the momentum of measures aimed at attracting investments in the energy sector. This mandate is included in one of the points of a non-binding proposal (PNL) presented by the PP, debated in the plenary session this Tuesday after ending in a tie in the corresponding commission.

In another matter, the Parliament has rejected adding an amendment by Més per Menorca to a proposal by the PSIB focused on boosting the agri-food industry linked to local products.

The proposal by the Menorcan party consisted of urging the Government to launch a food sovereignty strategy that would reduce the Balearic Islands' external dependence and strengthen its own capacity for food production, processing, and distribution.
