Bahraini authorities reported this Wednesday the detention of 15 people whom they accuse of following Iranian Revolutionary Guard directives within the country.

In a statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior explained that the arrested individuals "act (...) on the ground" as representatives of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in Bahrain and that they "are dedicated to implementing the (corps') inciting instructions by influencing the citizens" of the kingdom.

During recent months, Bahraini security forces have carried out the detention of dozens of people on similar charges, for their alleged membership or collaboration with the Shiite party-militia Hezbollah or for allegedly supporting Iran's attacks, since the United States and Israel began their offensive against Iranian territory on February 28.
