The acting president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced this Monday the renewal of two key executive portfolios, appointing Nelson Rodríguez as the new head of Ecosocialism and Paola Ponsani to lead the Ministry of Housing, while thanking those who held these positions until now for their management.
"I have appointed Nelson Rodríguez as the new Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism and president of Inparques," stated the acting leader in a statement in which she affirmed that the new head of the portfolio "now assumes the responsibility of developing and strengthening public policies for the protection of our Pachamama and comprehensive environmental care."
With this change, Nelson Rodríguez replaces Freddy Ñáñez at the head of the Ministry of Ecosocialism, while Paola Posani has been chosen as the new Minister of Habitat and Housing. Regarding her, Rodríguez emphasized that she "has extensive experience in public administration in areas of urban planning and infrastructure."
"I trust in her professionalism to assume this responsibility of continuing to strengthen public policies aimed at guaranteeing the right to housing and the good living of the Venezuelan people," added the acting president, who expressed her recognition to Jorge Márquez Monsalve for the work done before the arrival of the new minister.
In addition to these cabinet changes, the leader also announced, through social media, the appointment of Rosinés Chávez as head of the Gran Misión Venezuela Joven, with the purpose of "strengthening" this program, and Juan José Ramírez as head of the 1x10 Good Government system, with the goal of reinforcing "direct attention to the requests of the people in their communities."
