At least three people have lost their lives and twelve others have been injured this Thursday in a new round of bombings carried out by the United States in southern Iran.
The initial victim count has been provided by the University of Medical Sciences of Hormozgan, cited by the official Iranian agency Mehr, which details that seven of the injured have a concussion caused by the shock wave of the explosions.
The attack on a neighborhood in Bandar Abbas has hit a communications tower, causing power outages in that area of the port city.
In parallel, US forces have bombed three bridges in the county of Jamir, one of them key as it connects Bandar Abbas with the town of Lar, in the province of Fars. According to state television IRIB, this operation has so far caused at least two deaths and four injuries.
The US Army Central Command (CENTCOM) has stated that its units began at 9:00 PM (Spanish mainland time) this Thursday "a new wave of attacks against Iran for the sixth consecutive night in order to further weaken Iranian military capabilities."
During the month of July, at least 35 people have died and hundreds have been injured by US attacks against Iranian territory, according to the balance made public this Wednesday by Iranian authorities.
