The authorities of Iran reported this Sunday the execution of a man sentenced for collaborating with Israel and the United States, after the supposed fatal run-over of several police officers during the protests against the government recorded last January.
The convicted, identified as Shahram Sadeghi, received the death penalty for "carrying out operational actions in favor of the Zionist regime, the United States, and hostile groups," according to the Iranian news portal Mizan Online.
According to this media, linked to the Iranian judiciary, Sadeghi ran over "several" members of the security forces with a vehicle near the Golzar intersection, in the city of Karaj, the capital of the Elburz province, causing their deaths.
The incident, classified by the Iranian Justice as "deliberate," also left seven agents of Faraja --the unified command of the Police-- seriously injured, who suffered injuries to the head, legs, hands, and eyes.
After being located and arrested, Mizan Online points out, Sadeghi "admitted" his participation in the events that occurred in one of the areas where the protests against the Iranian authorities were concentrated.
