Iran's Revolutionary Guard reported this Tuesday that, in the last day, a total of 24 vessels crossed the Strait of Hormuz with "permission" and "coordination" from Tehran authorities. These restrictions on maritime traffic are part of the measures adopted by Iran in response to the surprise offensive launched on February 28 by the United States and Israel against the country.
"During the last 24 hours, 24 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz after obtaining permission and with coordination and security from the Navy of the Revolutionary Guard," the elite corps stated, emphasizing that "intelligent control" of the area "will be maintained with authority."
In this context, the Revolutionary Guard insisted that "evil foreigners have no place in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz," as broadcast by Iranian public television IRIB, in allusion to the United States, which maintains a blockade on Iranian ports through a perimeter closure of the region.
