At least one Palestinian has lost their life and seven others have been injured this Saturday in the Gaza Strip following a new wave of airstrikes and artillery fire from the Israeli Army at various points in the enclave, according to local sources cited by the Turkish agency Anadolu.

The deceased has been identified as Mohamed Bashir Abu Armana, who died after being hit by gunfire from Israeli forces in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the central area of the Strip. In that same area, two other Palestinians have been injured in the Bureij camp by fire from the troops, while two more people have suffered burns after a motorcycle caught fire following the impact of a projectile.

In the city of Khan Younis, in the south of the territory, Israeli airstrikes have hit several already evacuated homes in the Jorat al Lot sector and in the urban area. There, at least two civilians have been hit by gunfire and have had to be urgently transferred to Nasser Hospital.

According to data released by Palestinian health authorities, violations of the ceasefire in effect since October have resulted in the deaths of more than 1,260 people and left another 4,150 injured.

Overall, the Israeli military offensive that began in October 2023 has already resulted in more than 73,000 deaths and 174,000 injuries.
