Yousef Pezeshkian, son of Iran's president, Masud Pezeshkian, has expressed this Wednesday his regret over the deaths of the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, and the head of the Basij paramilitary force, Gholamreza Soleimani. Following these assassinations, he has warned that the Islamic Republic "will fail" if it does not manage to put an end to the Israeli attacks against its top leaders.

"We should not have allowed the enemy to carry out another successful assassination," Pezeshkian sentenced in a message disseminated on social media, where he recounted that at first he refused to believe the news about the death of Lariyani, security advisor to the late Iranian leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and one of the most influential personalities in Iran's power structure.

"If we are not capable of stopping the Zionist murderous machinery, we will fail", he stressed when referring to the chain of assassinations of prominent figures of the Iranian regime attributed to Israel, which on February 28 killed Ali Khamenei himself, father of his successor in office, Mojtaba Khamenei, at the beginning of its joint offensive with the United States against the Islamic Republic.

The death of the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council has been confirmed tonight by Masud Pekeshkian, who has described Lariyani as a "distinguished and valuable figure, source of extensive and diverse services and achievements in various fields during the Islamic Republic". For its part, the Revolutionary Guard has also ratified the death of Golamreza Soleimani, hours after the Israeli Army announced the assassination of both in a bombing carried out on Monday against the country's capital, Tehran.
