Nine fighters from the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan have died and several more have been injured after the impact of six missiles fired by the armed forces of Iran against the town of Zargwezala, in the province of Suleimaniya, within the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, in the north of the country, according to the latest report.

The Komala Party itself confirmed the casualties in a statement released by the Kurdish agency Kurdpa, in which it details that its headquarters was hit at 6:00 a.m. on Friday. This bombing is part of a series of previous offensives against the same headquarters with "hundreds of missiles and drones".

"The nine fallen peshmergas are the latest martyrs on the path to freedom whose path and struggle we will continue," the leftist organization has stated.

In parallel, the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK), also Kurdish-Iranian, has reported that eight of its fighters were injured in an attack on one of its bases in Hewler, Erbil, in northern Iraq. The facility was hit by drones around 2:00 a.m. this Sunday, according to information from the Kurdish agency ANF.

Since February 28, at least 29 people have lost their lives in attacks in this region, coinciding with the start of the U.S.-Israeli bombings on Iran, according to the count by Kurdpa. Among the deceased are 18 Kurdish-Iranian fighters, 7 Kurdish-Iraqi militiamen, three civilians, a French soldier, and a Kurdish-Syrian fighter.

Tehran, which has not yet provided an official version of these latest events, has been carrying out operations against Kurdish separatist groups in the northwest of the country and against their bases in northern Iraq for years, actions that have intensified following the offensive launched in February by the United States and Israel, amid negotiations between Washington and Tehran to try to reach a new nuclear agreement.
