The Revolutionary Guard has indicated this Wednesday that a total of 23 cargo ships have crossed the Strait of Hormuz during the last 24 hours, in coordination with the Iranian authorities responsible for security in the area.
"In the last 24 hours, 23 ships crossed the Strait of Hormuz with authorization from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard," the Iranian news agency Fars reported, on the situation in the strategic passage.
The body promoted by Iran to supervise and order maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, the so-called Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA), published a map last week in which it set the limits of its "jurisdiction" in the area, considered one of the main bottlenecks of international trade, in the context of the measures adopted by Tehran in response to the aforementioned offensive, which began by surprise on February 28.
