The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Monday that all countries in the world will have to "return" money to his nation once the "scam" of Hormuz is over, referring to the limitations imposed by Iran on the transit of crude oil and other cargoes through the strategic strait in response to U.S. bombings.

"Oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz. Countries around the world that have not helped us should return the money to the United States when this scam of conflagration ends. And they will," he noted in a message shared on social media.

The North American leader lamented that "we are doing much more for others than for ourselves and it has been this way for generations," referring to the burden that, in his opinion, Washington bears in the security of energy routes.

Trump also blamed his successor, Joe Biden, for inflation and insisted that the rise in fuel prices is a "temporary" phenomenon. "I hope everyone is aware that the price increase in the United States has been caused by Joe Biden 'Sleepy' and the Biden Administration, not by Trump," he emphasized.

Furthermore, he defended that the cost of oil was higher during Biden's term than it is now. "And we have prevented Iran from having nuclear weapons! With the temporary exception of oil, prices are plummeting and oil will crash like a stone as soon as the military conflict with Iran ends and it won't be long," he added.

The Strait of Hormuz has established itself as a key enclave after Iran decided to block the passage of oil from the Persian Gulf in response to attacks from Israel and the United States.
