The Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, has publicly censured "the breach of the ceasefire between Israel and Iran" following the air attacks launched the previous night by Tehran and the subsequent military response by Benjamin Netanyahu's Executive, while at the same time calling for "an immediate de-escalation".
In a message disseminated on the social network X, the head of Foreign Affairs literally stated: "I condemn the breach of the ceasefire between Israel and Iran", subsequently warning that "resorting to violence again will bring even more suffering".
Albares has once again underlined that "only dialogue and diplomacy guarantee peace and stability in the region" and, in line with this stance, has reiterated that "an immediate de-escalation is necessary".
The minister also insisted that "there is no military solution in the Middle East", thus maintaining the line that the Government has been upholding since the United States and Israel launched the attack against Iran on February 28.
At the same time, the head of Spanish diplomacy has expressed his strong condemnation of the terrorist attack committed by Hamas on Sunday, which caused one death and four injuries in the center of Israel, as well as "the continued launch of rockets by Hezbollah" against Israeli territory.
In this context, Albares has stressed that "the ceasefire must also be respected by all parties in Israel, Palestine, and Lebanon", appealing to all involved forces to comply with the cessation of hostilities.
