The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has launched harsh criticism this Saturday against the broadcast that TVE is making of the Spanish Grand Prix of Formula 1, which is taking place this weekend at the Madring circuit. The Madrid leader accuses the public channel of being "at the service of the Government" and of doing "the impossible to tarnish the success of this event."
In a message disseminated on her official profile on social networks, Ayuso has admitted that she is "ashamed" of the treatment that the Spanish public television is giving to the Grand Prix, an event that she describes as "an opportunity and a pride for the whole country and for the rest of the world."
The Madring circuit of Ifema is the venue this weekend for the Spanish Grand Prix, a race with which the so-called 'great circus' of Formula 1 returns to the capital 45 years after its last visit. Forecasts indicate that around 350,000 fans are expected to approach the Madrid track over these days.
