The spokesperson and deputy secretary of Culture and Sports of the PP, Borja Sémper, has once again criticized the central Executive, which he accuses of "arrogance" and an "absence of responsibilities" in the face of the migratory crisis that Ceuta is experiencing.

From Vigo, where he appeared this Saturday, Sémper emphasized that "it seems like a joke" that the "only political responsibility" arising from what happened is the resignation of the head of the Cabinet of the Government Delegation in Ceuta, Gonzalo Sanz.

In his opinion, this situation demonstrates that "everything that has been happening for a month is a lie" and also confirms an "absolute absence of assumption of responsibilities" linked to the "arrogance" of Pedro Sánchez's Government.

As he recalled, "the official version of the Government insists, time and again, on lying to us Spaniards. This advisor who has resigned has said that the ministries were informed, and he has said that he had informed. They were informed that they already had and already knew the plans that existed to cross the border of Ceuta," Sémper pointed out.

The popular leader has emphasized the lack of "humility and assumption of responsibilities" in which, in his view, "the Executive is installed." "How is it possible that, to this day, no minister and, of course, neither the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has assumed any responsibility, has apologized, or has made any minimal gesture of humility?" he posed.

In addition, he has criticized that "there is no effective response or a horizon of solution to the problem," reproaching that Pedro Sánchez "says that we must accept what happened as a structural reality."

In this line, he has criticized that there is an intention to "turn Ceuta into a CETI, accepting that it is much more manageable for the Government for the people of Ceuta to self-confine at home out of fear or leave their city, than for those who entered our country in an irregular manner, to return to their country."

"With Spain, one does not play"

On the international level, Sémper has also referred to the statement from the Government of Morocco in which it fundamentally pointed to the PP. "Something truly novel for a country to refer to another by pointing to the opposition. Novel, but not strange. The Government of Morocco also understands that there will be a political change in Spain," he pointed out.

At the same time, he has warned Rabat that, with the "future Government of the PP," Spain's position "will not be the same as now." "We will offer collaboration, a relationship of neighborhood and understanding, but Morocco will have to know, like the rest of the countries in our environment, that with Spain one does not play, that Spain is not subordinated to any foreign interest, and that our position will be of absolute firmness," he has warned.

In this defense, he has insisted that Ceuta, Melilla, and the Canary Islands "cannot be in question" and has reproached the Executive that the different Moroccan claims over these territories "have not received" a clear response from the central Government.

Call to dissolve the Cortes

Finally, Sémper has demanded Pedro Sánchez to "accept once and for all, that the situation is unsustainable" and that, in the face of a Government that, in his opinion, "is incapable" of "solving any problem," he should opt to "dissolve the Cortes and give the word to the Spaniards."

In this context, he has emphasized that "after these years of permanent scandal," the time has come for "the people to speak" and "to change the course of this country."
