The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has demanded this Sunday from the Government a greater sensitivity towards Ceuta after the migratory crisis registered at the end of July, while he has criticized the Executive's response to the situation of the autonomous city. "No one is capable of understanding the indolence in the face of this chaos," he has stated.
In a message on "X", collected by Europa Press, the leader of the opposition has emphasized that "the people of Ceuta have the right to live in peace; women have the right to go out on the street without fear"; and children have the right to grow up safe."
According to the popular leader, Ceuta "needs a committed Government, sensitive to a quadruple crisis: migratory, public health, public order, and national security." "No one is capable of understanding the indolence in the face of this chaos," he has reiterated on the aforementioned social network.
Criticism of the ministers for "zero solutions" and request for resignation
In parallel, the deputy secretary of Autonomous and Local Coordination and Electoral Analysis of the PP, Elías Bendodo, has demanded the resignation of the Minister of Health, Mónica García, whom he considers "guilty" of the "health collapse" that, in his opinion, Ceuta is experiencing after the massive entry of migrants.
Bendodo has also attacked the ministers of the Government who have traveled to Ceuta to "take a photo" but offering "zero solutions" to the crisis that persists in the city. Likewise, he has criticized that the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, "continues lying in the hammock and on the beach" of the official residence in Lanzarote and does not provide "explanations" about what happened.
"No one from the Government of Spain has explained to us how this could happen, but the most serious thing is that no one has been able to guarantee us that this will not happen again," warned the deputy secretary of the PP, who added that the presence of the ministers in the Ceuta municipality "resembled more a 'photocall' in August" than a Government "managing a crisis."
