King Felipe VI sent a message of congratulations to the Moroccan monarch Mohammed VI on the occasion of Throne Day, celebrated on July 30, a date that coincided with the day of massive migrant entries in Ceuta. In his letter, he emphasized that the "bonds of brotherhood, friendship, and cooperation will continue" to be in effect with Morocco.
The Moroccan News Agency (MAP) explained that Mohammed VI "received a congratulatory message from King Felipe VI of Spain" on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of his enthronement.
According to the information disseminated by the aforementioned agency, the head of the Spanish State stated in his message, "in his own name and on behalf of the Government and the Spanish people," his "warmest congratulations and best wishes for happiness and health to his brother" Mohammed VI, in addition to conveying his desire for "prosperity and well-being to the Moroccan people."
