The Deputy Secretary of Economy and Sustainable Development of the PP, Alberto Nadal, has maintained that in a consolidated democracy it is not admissible to reach the current level of corruption without clear decisions being made that allow citizens to choose their next Executive: "It is up to those who continue to support this government infested with corruption, to decide if they continue to do so".
These statements were made this Saturday to the media, before holding a meeting with self-employed workers in Barcelona, in which he was accompanied by the leader of the PP in the Barcelona City Council, Daniel Sirera, and by the president of the Spanish Confederation of Self-Employed Professionals (CEPA), Daniel Vosseler.
Nadal has stressed that "it is becoming increasingly clear that the situation of this government is absolutely unsustainable", and has emphasized that the PP will focus on promoting a change of government in Spain.
SELF-EMPLOYED
In relation to the self-employed, Nadal has remarked that they constitute a key piece of the national productive fabric and has pointed out that they are going through a complicated moment: "They have a growing, unbearable tax burden, and regulatory burdens that force them to dedicate enormous amounts of time to dealing with bureaucracy".
For this reason, he has explained that the PP's proposal for this group includes adjusting social security contributions to the reality of self-employed income, introducing more flexibility, and strengthening their ability to control their accounts and their activity, "as they had before this government arrived".
POPE'S VISIT
When asked about the Pope's visit, Nadal has stated that it has been a relevant milestone in all the places in Spain he has visited and has highlighted that the Pontiff has conveyed a message "of unity, of calm, of seeking the common good among all".
In this regard, he has pointed out that this message should be interpreted as an invitation to "leave behind a stage of confrontation, frustration, and corruption and begin to build a more beautiful, brighter future".
