The newly appointed president of the Association of Victims of Terrorism (AVT), Lucía Ruiz, met this Tuesday with the leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, to convey the convenience of developing specific regional regulations for the victims of terrorism in those communities where there is still no own regulation.

According to what AVT explained in a statement, the meeting served for Lucía Ruiz to present to Abascal the main concerns and demands of the group.

In the meeting, the head of the AVT demanded Vox's support to advance her proposals in the regional sphere, with special attention to the communities where this party is part of the regional executives.

Among the issues discussed, the AVT emphasized the importance of approving specific regional laws for the victims of terrorism in the communities that still lack them, as well as reviewing and updating the existing regulations that, due to the passage of time or changes in the needs of the victims, have become outdated or are insufficient.

"The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere and allowed for the discussion of different issues of interest to the group, as well as conveying the need to continue strengthening the protection, recognition, and rights of the victims of terrorism throughout the national territory," added the Association of Victims of Terrorism.
