The Deputy Secretary of Health and Social Policy of the PP, Carmen Fúnez, stated this Thursday that the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, cares little about the daily problems of the citizens and that he is only "pending" what the former minister José Luis Ábalos, his former advisor Koldo García, and the businessman Víctor de Aldama say next week before the Supreme Court. In her opinion, "the only thing that interests him" is "to protect himself from the situation of corruption that has plagued him since the beginning of the legislature".
According to Fúnez, Sánchez "is waiting to see what they have to say and, above all, what they will say in their statements next week, when Ábalos, Koldo, and Aldama will have to testify as defendants," in reference to the case concerning alleged irregularities in the mask contracts awarded by the Ministry of Transport during the pandemic.
In a press briefing after her visit to the company Algenex, in the SID Technology Park in Tres Cantos (Madrid), accompanied by the mayor of the municipality, Jesús Moreno, Fúnez has underlined that next week there is a doctors' strike called and has demanded the resignation of the Minister of Health, Mónica García, for her "sectarianism and opacity" and for her "authentic inability" to resolve the conflict that, in her opinion, she herself has caused in the National Health System.
"Corruption is the norm of Sanchismo"
The popular leader has reproached the Sánchez Executive for "not talking about medicine, nor addressing doctors" and has attributed this attitude to the fact that "their interest is not in them, nor is it in hospitals, nor is it in patients", but in the cases of alleged corruption affecting the Government's circle.
"Pedro Sánchez's interest is in the courts, because it is the only thing that interests him, to protect himself from the situation of corruption that has plagued him since the beginning of the legislature," Fúnez reiterated, insisting that the president's focus is on judicial proceedings.
Next, he maintained that the information that is becoming known demonstrates that "corruption is the norm of sanchismo" and its "pattern of conduct", citing as an example the video disseminated this Thursday by 'The Objective' about the ballot vote held in the Federal Committee of the PSOE on October 1, 2016, after which Pedro Sánchez resigned as general secretary.
On this line, Fúnez has stated that Sánchez "came to power through corruption" and that "now in the Government he continues with corruption to stay in power". "We are convinced, as the majority of Spaniards are, that corruption, alleged irregular financing, and the attack on justice is the chronicle of Sanchismo," he concluded.
