The PP plans to use the government control session this Wednesday in Congress to subject the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, to an exhaustive examination, whom they practically consider politically exhausted. Proof of this is one of the questions registered for the head of Defense, in which she is literally asked about "what has been her role in Pedro Sánchez's government?".
According to the list of initiatives presented by the different groups for this control session, which Europa Press has accessed, Robles will have to answer two other questions formulated by the 'popular' party.
In addition to the question registered by deputy Sofía Acedo about her role in the Executive, where she has held the same portfolio since 2018, the PP spokesperson in the Defense Commission, Carlos Rojas, intends to confront her to detail whether the Defense policy promoted by the government is "coherent".
The third question sent to Robles, signed by the deputy spokesperson for Defense, Agustín Conde, literally asks: "Can Spain guarantee its security without budgets?".
A total of nine members of the Council of Ministers have notified their absence from this control session: the second vice-president, Yolanda Díaz, and the ministers of the Interior, Fernando Grande Marlaska; Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares; Finance, Arcadi España; Transport, Óscar Puente; Industry, Jordi Hereu; Agriculture, Luis Planas; Equality, Ana Redondo, and Social Rights, Pablo Bustinduy.
