An Iranian drone has impacted during the early hours of this Thursday against a residential tower in the exclusive district of Dubai Creek Harbour, causing a fire on the upper floors of the building and the evacuation of its residents.
The artifact fell on the Address Creek Harbour 2 tower, a residential and hotel complex located in one of the city's financial and luxury areas. After the impact, a fire broke out in some apartments, while emergency teams quickly arrived at the scene to control the flames.
Dubai authorities have confirmed that all residents were evacuated as a precaution and that the fire was extinguished a few hours later. According to the local government, no injuries were reported due to the incident.
The event occurs amidst an escalation of tensions in the Middle East, where Iran has launched drones and missiles against several targets in the region.
In addition to the incident in Dubai Creek Harbour, other episodes with drones or remains of interceptions were reported in different areas of the city, although no victims were registered either.
The Emirati authorities maintain activated the defense and security systems while the regional crisis continues, which has affected air traffic and has increased concern about possible new attacks in the Gulf.
